October I had the opportunity to participate in the youth program at Folk Music Ontario Conference in Toronto which was absolutely amazing!  It was a fantastic surprise to received an e-mail saying I was the recipient of the Taylor Mitchell Bursary.

In 2010, in memory of her daughter, Canadian songwriter Taylor Mitchell, Emily Mitchell established The FMO Taylor Mitchell Bursary for participants in the Folk Music Ontario Youth Performer program.

I was able to spend time with fellow musicians, mentors and music industry professions all with encouraging  words of wisdom.
